Web 2.0 Resource: Blabberize
What is it?
Blabberize is a great Web 2.0 tool that allows your students to take any image and then make the image talk.
What does it look like in my classroom?
Blabberize is a Web 2.0 tool that allows your students to to creatively show what they know. Blabberize projects can be used as an assessment tool to gauge student understanding as a class project, or even as a center activity. Because it is a communication tool it can be used in any subject when you want to engage students creatively. By having students write scripts prior to recording you get to see what your students know and they get to internalize the content.
For example, a student might show her understanding of the Gettysburg Address by rewriting it in modern day language and then recording it over an image of President Lincoln.

World language teachers love Blabberize because it gives a great way for students to practice their oral language. They can record, listen, and often re-record several times before they are ready to post for others to hear!
